Social Responsibility
As part of its corporate social responsibility programme, the KPL and its member clubs are committed to contributing to national development through new inter-club cooperation and projects on key na-tional issues such as alcohol and drug abuse, AIDS prevention, environmental improvement and community development. Our clubs are also committed to promoting national unity through support to Kenyan national teams and other special events and now apply a joint “zero tolerance” policy against hooliganism, tribalism and racism or discrimination on the basis of religion, gender or disability.

Some KPL clubs such as Mathare United FC, Mathare Youth FC and Thika United FC have already taken the lead by conducting basic football skills and AIDS prevention training clinics in local schools. Those and other community service activities will be expanded this year.
